Eternal Curse: Battleground chapter 1(wip)

I stood there cold, shivering, and sulking staring out the viewing portal of my quarter. I’d placed my face so close to the plastic pane that I could fog it up with the subtle blowing of my trembling breath. I was trying to focus on anything I could to keep myself from crying yet again, a task that had begun to offer me a weird kind of comfort. I was so tired of crying, but what could I really do about it; I was sad and grieving. I looked down and watched as the day laborers were struggling to set up the tents and move in chairs, in the midst of the torrential downpour that was pounding against them.

Abraham-bkBiography:  Subject EC:GA 1-Abraham

Abraham was born near the beginning of the 20th century. He grew up in New Jersey, U.S. and came from a poor family. As poor as his family was, the love of his life Sarah was from an even poorer family. When Abraham first meets Sarah as a little boy, he pledges to take care of her for the rest of his life.

As the great depression neared, Abraham quickly learns that working around the law might be the best way to provide for himself and loves, though he never joined a gang and directly broke any laws. As Abraham began to work his way towards wealth, he encountered Giovanni and felt sorry for him. He took him in and made him part of his and Sarah’s new life together.

After Abraham made enough money to marry Sarah and pay for her to attend school, they planned for their first child. Before Sarah gave birth, she was killed in a car accident. Abraham sank into a deep depression and Giovanni struggled to keep him alive after he lost his legs trying to kill himself.

Once Abraham came to terms with Sarah’s death, he began to live life again and look after Giovanni, who was suffering through his own issues.  Abraham is very happy to learn that Giovanni has made a friend through his computer and that she will be coming to visit them soon.

EC: Giovanni's Angel Sample Sundays

6 Sentence Sunday 10: ECGA

This is a weekly meme hosted and originated by 6 Sentence Sunday.

Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel -6 sentences from chapter 3.

Giovanni stretched out his neck and squinted his eyes, but he could not make out the face of the angelic warrior. As the victor knelt down and placed his hand over the head of his foe, Giovanni could see that he was looking down at the slain face of a youth; a golden boy, curled up like a wheel with his head pressed into his feet. His body was covered with a thousand crying eyes that now remained forever shut behind their resting lids.

There seemed to be a black smoke-like spirit fading away, almost seeping, from the corpse as it disintegrated into ash. Giovanni was nearby struggling to break free, as forces of anger and hatred held him down. He could not see this enemy, this dark force that was digging its claws into his flesh, causing blood to trickle painfully from his body.
