#iwsgbookclub May 2022 Poll & What I #read in Apr.

Please join the IWSG Book Club today on Goodreads for a short general poll. Aside from spotlighting two IWSG member books each month, we also want to engage in bookish whimsy and encourage others to have a healthy reading lifestyle. You don’t have to be reading or have read the 2 current featured books to be able to participate in this poll, so please, join in the festivities. Click the image below to see our fun poll. This month the topic is about other creative outlets that may help writing.

May ’22 General Poll

In April 2022, I read 3 titles, sticking to my two IWSG Book Club reads and my Read With Fey read. Check it out.

Please join the IWSG Book Club today on Goodreads for two short discussions about the two books we featured in the month of April. There are still 6 days left in this month so there’s no rush, and I’m posting early because I’m away on vacation. We are hosting 3 short questions for each book we featured and encourage you to share your reviews and or thoughts. Discussions will remain open indefinitely, so stop by anytime, even if you haven’t read the book(s).

It’s been a slow reading month for me, but I’m around the 75% mark of this book. It’s been enlightening, so far, to discover many cultural differences between U.S. and European citizens when it comes to daily life, travel, marriage, and more. Plus, I’m learning about life on a boat. It’s not shocking to discover the many ways in which the U.S. government seems to be designed to hold people down and strip them of their peace of mind. I’m proud to be a U.S. citizen, I just wish the U.S. was more caring of its citizens and its visitors.

Being the one to read multiple books at a time, I too am just around the 75% point with this book. It’s not what I was expecting. I don’t want to say too much right now because I’d rather lay it all out in my review. Plus, it seems there is an update for this book, so I may read that to do a comparison, but I’m not sure. I am very much looking forward to the discussion of this book next week. I’ve seen the questions and they are good.
