Itā€™s Like the Full Moon chapter 2.2 (wip)

Lisa stepped into her room and threw her overnight bag onto the floor. She dropped to her knees and began to toss out the contents of the bag with one hand as she undressed herself with the other. After skimming down to nothing but her panties and tossing her bra across the room, Lisa finally found the treasure she was so desperately searching for. It was a small plastic case with a simple snap lock. She opened it and pulled out a sparkly sleep mask labeled ā€œlittle angelā€ in pink letters and a pair of purple earplugs. She pressed the plugs into her ears and crawled across the floor, and then up the end of the bed until she reached the pillowcase. She threw back the covers and tossed the extra decorative pillows on the floor before cuddled up under the cool soft sheets, pulling down her sleep mask just before losing consciousness.

EC: Battleground Sample Sundays

Sample Sunday 12

samplesundayHere is approximately 100 ā€“ 150 words from a randomly selected original piece for your enjoyment. These samples may include excerpts from my Eternal Curse Series, but will currently exclude excerpts from EC: Giovanniā€™s Angel. Please visit the ECS blog to read samples from that installment of the series.

Eternal Curse: Battleground chapter 2.1(wip)

ā€œHey Sis, you feel that?ā€ asked Sheldon.

ā€œYeah, I do.ā€

ā€œI donā€™t feel anything,ā€ said Michelangelo. Uncle Jack reached up, slapped Michael on the back of his head, and then shushed him.

Desperately I asked, ā€œWhere is it coming from, Sheldy?ā€

ā€œHeā€™s in the domicile,ā€ he said turning and twisting his head, trying to lock in on the location of the familiar sensation.

ā€œThatā€™s not possible; Iā€™ve been here all day. I would have seen him,ā€ I proclaimed.

Jack sighed and put his hand on my shoulder. ā€œYou were out for a little bit when you took to pastor and the undertaker to view the plot.ā€

ā€œYouā€™re right,ā€ I said, as I came into the realization.

ā€œI thinkā€¦ā€ said Sheldon as he closed his eyes and concentrated. He walked around in a circle and then grabbed my hand, held it and squeezed it tight. ā€œI think heā€™s in the lab.ā€

Full Moon WIP Updates

WIP Update 07

WIPU

**Cover Reveal!!!…Tomorrow!!!

šŸ™ Sorry if I got you all excited, but I wanted you know that Iā€™ll be revealing the new cover of Eternal Curse: Giovanniā€™s Angel tomorrow so I can focus on this WIP update today.

Iā€™m asking that any and all who happen to stop by tomorrow, please, leave a comment about the cover. I really want to know what you think. Good, bad, weird, or how does it compare to the older covers if youā€™ve seen those?

Now, hereā€™s the update:

Distraction is bad word I try to not say for fear it will overtake me, but Iā€™m afraid it has. Iā€™ve been distracted by a great many things including getting back into the rhythm of going to a day job every weekday. So, for that reason this update isnā€™t as robust as I would like for it to be, but I do have a few tidbits to share.

Iā€™m still making headway on Solomanā€™s Swords and am finishing up Full Moon to the point where I think Iā€™m ready to read through the first draft from beginning to end to see where more needs to be added. I never realized how difficult it would be to conclude this story, but after building up the characters and the intertwining of all the relationships, it is almost emotional. Iā€™ve never been a love triangle kind of person, I just donā€™t like them, but thatā€™s exactly what Iā€™ve written here, and Iā€™ve taken it to a level I never thought I couldā€¦Donā€™t jump to conclusions. Remember youā€™re in the PG/PG-13 zone here.

Iā€™m am actually happy to announce that Iā€™m working with a few of the authors Iā€™ve interviewed on a little project that I think will prove an interesting and entertaining read for book lovers. Ā Think ā€œconversations in a bookā€ with excerpts and youā€™ll be close, but this isnā€™t going to be some drab list of Q&A and a blah excerpt at the end. More on that later.

Still working on my short stories, maybe next week Iā€™ll have an update on that.

Feeling a little lost about whatā€™s going on in this post? Just see the side panel and search My Topics, WIP Updates, to get all caught up. Also check my WIP tab to see what else I may be working on.

Do you have a WIP update to share?
