Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 4.3 (wip)

Mira removed her glasses; she pushed her hands up into her face, swept them up over her hair, and then took a deep breath. She folded her arms in front of her chest, looked back, and then forth between Giovanni and Abraham several times quickly. Abraham was a mystery to her and a little creepy in a sweet way, but seemed harmless. Giovanni, on the other hand, looked like he could stop a bar fight just walking through the door, yet he too seemed safe enough. He seemed to always be so subdued and to have a constant cloud of sadness around him, which Mira looked upon as a silent screaming out for help and understanding. Mira didn’t know why she was there with these strange men and their strange stories and mysteries, but she’d decided to stay.

It’s Like the Full Moon chapter 2.5 (wip)

Rebecca looked up for a moment to acknowledge the waiter as he brought her pasta and poured her wine. Just off to the side of the café, almost in the street, stood and elderly distinguished looking man looking terrible annoyed and confused. He wore an eggshell linen suite with a straw fedora hat and tan loafers. He leaned forward and looked from side to side keeping his hand pressed firmly on his bamboo arched cane. Rebecca tilted her head and leaned forward and began to speak to him, though she didn’t know why; even as an adult she never spoke to strangers, but she was in Milan and figured why not. “Excuse me sir, do you speak English? Do you need help with anything?” she called out sweetly. The old man turned slowly and leaned forward and squinted his behind his glasses and then removed them to get a better look at the young woman seeking his attention.

Eternal Curse: Battleground chapter 3.1 (wip)

Mira was the only aspect of my life that couldn’t be controlled and I adored her for it. Every day I felt I was becoming more and more this other person, this other being Bletsian, but I wanted to be Giovanni for as long as I could. Mira was the only link to my humanity and I thanked mercy for her daily. My feelings for her grew stronger; it was as though she had a power over me that even she was unaware of. I didn’t lust to conquer her spirit or ravage her body. I didn’t lean towards evil, but I loved her the way a man loves a woman, and I clung to that knowledge and love daily. With Mira, I was a real man, almost human.
