Eternal Curse: Battleground 8.0 (wip)

I paced the fire lit cave of our secret rendezvous that night, wondering what this special new half-breed and his human companion would look like. I’d never met a shifter before. The few half-breeds I’d meet, at that time, only had one appearance. When Fred told me that you might be a shifter, I became anxiously self-conscious. I’d always wished I could look different, even if it was only for a little while. As we waited in the warmth of the rock walls absorbing the heat of our fire, I began to smell the scent of a human approaching. For some reason, I could always smell humans from further away. After a short while, we saw the flickering lights of their electric lanterns and heard their voices coming closer. Then it seemed as if they appeared from out of the darkness.

It’s Like the Full Moon- chapter 6.1 (wip)

A few minutes later, a young man carrying a few suitcases in his hands and a camp sack on his back walked into the dinner. He went up to the counter and asked if he could use their phone. The waitress was very nice and sweet as she explained that they didn’t have a phone for customers to use. They had free Wi-Fi, but no telephone up front. Teddy looked over at the young man and could tell that he was terribly upset and in some kind of a bind. He looked at is camp sack and admired his gear.

“Excuse me,” said Teddy walking up behind the young man slowly. “I have a cell phone you can use if you’re having some kind of an emergency. It’s in my car, but I could run out and get it.” The young man’s face lit up.

Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 7.1 (wip)

Mira looked at Giovanni and reached for his hand. “The creation of life is one of the few things most people in the world will agree is a happy thing. Bringing in a fresh new harvest or seeing a young child; it’s all new life and it’s all beautiful,” Mira explained. Then, Mira’s hand finally touched Giovanni’s and a jolt of energy rushed through her body; and for the first time, Giovanni felt something, too.

Mira was actually beginning to enjoy and look forward to the sensation of Giovanni’s touch, while Giovanni was beginning to experience a new sensation of his own. His hand grew warm and he became dizzy. He didn’t understand it; he knew there was nothing physically wrong with him, but this new warming and dizzying sensation lingered a bit as he continued to walk along beside Mira holding her hand.
