Eternal Curse: Battleground chapter 4 (wip)

I approached the man trying to distract him, which I did, but not in the way I’d planned. When the gunman noticed me walking towards him, he became startled at my appearance. He turned and fired his gun without even looking. The young couple took the opportunity to run away in the opposite direction. The gunman fired twice; one shot hit the viewing portal of a transport parked next the curb and the other shot hit me. I hadn’t been shot in over seventy-five years. I’d forgotten how it felt. The bullet sped through the air making contact with my skin, causing it to stretch and bruise. The shot was fired close enough that when the bullet finally stopped, it lay rested in an indentation on my arm.

Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 4.5 (wip)

Mira thought to herself that the house was decorated very simply and elegantly, but overall the house had a somewhat cold feeling to it. At first Mira couldn’t quite pinpoint why she had this notion, but then it came to her. Mira realized that there were no pictures of people anywhere in the house. There were no family photos in frames or in albums, and there were no wall paintings with people in them. There were barely any mirrors in the whole place. For some reason, one or both of these men didn’t want to even see people. Mira began to wonder where these men’s families were and why they were hiding away from the rest of the world.

It’s Like the Full Moon chapter 2.6 (wip)

Rebecca leaned her body towards Mr. Thornton shaking her head as to give the affect that she was amused by his comments, but she hadn’t actually paid much attention to a single word he’d said. She had become spellbound by the almost cinematic image of Mr. Thornton’s unexpectedly young, handsome, and robust son running towards them in a frantic hurry. Rebecca quickly cleared her throat as the son began to approach the restaurant. “He looks much younger than I had expected,” she said softly.

“Ah yes,” replied Mr. Thornton waving in his son, “It’s his burned to bear, that is the misfortune of being born to an old man. I was fifty-two years old when I married his beautiful young mother.” Just then, Paul arrived to their table. He stood up tall, front and center, across from Rebecca and reached out his hand after quickly wiping his glasses and hands with a handkerchief.

“How do you, I’m Paul,” he said simply.
