Eternal Curse: Battleground chapter 2.2 (wip)
At that point, I too was crying again. Dad held us both in his arms and simply stared at us. He looked at us as if he was witnessing a miracle. He was in awe and amazed that we were there with him.
It was becoming more and more difficult for me to look into my father’s eyes without confusion and discomfort. There I was, twenty-two years old and he only looked to be a few years older than me. In all those years, he’d barely aged. I had always been daddy’s little girl. I never wanted to acknowledge the fact that I knew one day, I’d grow old and he’d outlive me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. If you like it let me know and share it with others. See you next time, Toi Thomas. #thetoiboxofwords

Great excerpt, it absolutely grabs you and makes you curious why the Dad would not age WOW
Yeah, I’m still working on this one, but it’s really starting to get to me. I almost feel like I’m torturing this character, but I know it’s for a good cause and I believe there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
I love your little excerpts, Toi!! I truly want to read more!!
Thanks. That was grand plan all along- to pull you in. 😀
