Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 7.5 (wip)

Feeling as though she was immersed in a pool of water, Mira struggled to hear Giovanni’s thunderously soothing voice, call out her name from beyond. “Mira, wake up; please, Mira.” Giovanni found her asleep and shivering in the woods clinging to the trunk of a tree. He picked her up and carried her back to the house. Her body was cold from being out in the fall air. There were a few fallen leaves in her hair from sitting under the tree, and despite the cold, her pulse was racing from dreaming so hard.

Finally, they reached the steps of the porch and Giovanni sat Mira down on the top step. He briefly examined her for cuts and bruises, and then held her body to warm her and send her feelings of comfort. She was still a little cold from sitting in the shade of the tree; Giovanni continued to hold her close.

Eternal Curse: Battleground 9.0 (wip)

All was quiet. The tension is the room was palpable. We each held our breaths and ignored the elephant in the room as Dad began to slowly descend back down to the floor. I couldn’t even remember at what point during Sheldon’s story that he’d become so overwhelmed. I only hoped that this wouldn’t be a major setback in Dad’s progression.

Flakes of frost began to crawl up the walls as Sheldon and Dad’s combined efforts worked to restore a comfortable temperature to the confined quarter. I stood strong and put on a brave face the way Mom had taught me, so Dad wouldn’t worry too much about hurting or scaring me. Once we were all in the clear and we were certain that Dad’s condition would continue to progress, Sheldon continued his tale. We all knew what was coming next.

It’s Like the Full Moon- chapter 6.4.# (wip)

Slowly everyone came down from there frenzied high and gave Paul some privacy to finish dressing. Back down stairs where Ms. Rapture and TiTi Lucy were setting the table, Lisa poured everyone a glass of wine and explained how she and Rebecca met Paul in Milan. Then Teddy explained how they met earlier that day. For the most part Rebecca just sat back and listened to the others tell their stories while her mind wandered in and out of the current topic. She picked up on the fact that Paul was only supposed to be there for a week and that he’d be living in a condo with his father in the town after that. Rebecca was more glad that she had moved to the city at the moment than she’d been in the six years she’d lived there.
