It’s Like the Full Moon- chapter 7.0 (wip)

“Oh come on Mr. T, you know we’re buds. You don’t have to play it off just because Paul’s coming home,” said Teddy standing up and spinning around. “There’s enough of me to be shared by all.”

“I hate to wonder what calamity is going on between the two of you now,” said Paul as he walked up behind Teddy. Teddy turned, picked Paul up, and spun him around in circles.

“Dude, how was Cancun?” shouted Teddy giving no concern to the hundreds of people he’d just startled at four o’clock in the morning.

“It was fine, Teddy really. We’ll talk about it later,” he said walking over to his dad to help him up out of his seat. “Dad you didn’t have to come all the way out here just to pick me up?”

“I know I didn’t, but I figured as long I can, I should,” he said giving his son a big bear hug.

It’s Like the Full Moon- chapter 6.4.# (wip)

Slowly everyone came down from there frenzied high and gave Paul some privacy to finish dressing. Back down stairs where Ms. Rapture and TiTi Lucy were setting the table, Lisa poured everyone a glass of wine and explained how she and Rebecca met Paul in Milan. Then Teddy explained how they met earlier that day. For the most part Rebecca just sat back and listened to the others tell their stories while her mind wandered in and out of the current topic. She picked up on the fact that Paul was only supposed to be there for a week and that he’d be living in a condo with his father in the town after that. Rebecca was more glad that she had moved to the city at the moment than she’d been in the six years she’d lived there.

Teddy was about fifteen minutes into game and totally focused on beating the boss on a level he’d been stumped on for weeks when the door rang and several loud and rapid pounds crashed against his front door. “Teddy let us in, our hands are full of stuff,” yelled Lisa’s exhausted voice from the other end. “I know you’re probably just in there playing video games, get up,” she shouted once more just as the door was thrust open in front of her.

Teddy stared at the overloaded and unusually simple looking Lisa, and almost began to laugh. She was carry a covered casserole dish in her arms across her chest, with several paper bags in her right hand, and what looked like a jug of wine in the other. Under her right arm was a small box of napkins that were squished in. “Need any help there, Lisa?” asked Teddy smugly.
