It’s discussion day (at least it was last Thursday, Hee hee) for the IWSG Book Club. We’re finally gonna get down to business with our quarterly selections. I’m excited to see what people have to say. I personally skipped Fight Like a Girl because I’m taking a break from nonfiction, but I want to read it someday. I enjoyed Spiral of Hooves, though it was a tough read for me, and I look forward to seeing what others thought.

Reblog: Ain’t Nobody Got Time for Book Reviews…

Today, I’m visiting the Creative State of Mind blog for an interview.

Today, I’m welcoming Toi Thomas to my blog! I’m super excited to talk with her about one her new recent releases, Ain’t Nobody Got Time for Book Reviews.

Hi Toi, and thanks for stopping by. Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a bit of a geek girl. I love comic books, vinyl records, animals, chocolate, and green tea. Of course, that also includes books. I love them- whether print, digital, audio or whatever the future holds. I love a good story- whether fiction or nonfiction. When I’m not indulging in written words, I also like to write my own via published books and my blog: The ToiBox of Words….“Read more here.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. If you like it let me know and share it with others. See you next time, Toi Thomas. #thetoiboxofwords

About Toi Holiday Promotion

Happy Birthday to Me!

So far, for my birthday, I’ve gotten a cute blue beret, a new dress, the DC network,  a sewing machine, and I’m spending the day with my hubby. I am very blessed.

Also, just in time for my birthday, I’ve released two new books. These two books are part of an effort, a dream of mine to start a book fair in my local area. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these two books go directly to that cause. To learn more about my dream to start a book fair, please visit, Lit Carnivale.com.

Carnie Loves Books – Amazon

Carnie is a bookworm with one love in his life- books. When Carnie loses his reading glasses, he goes on a search to find them. Read along as Carnie searches for his glasses and professes his love for reading books. 100% of proceeds supports Lit Carnivale, a book fair in the making.

Ain’t Nobody Got Time For Book Reviews! – Amazon

Have you ever wondered why it seems authors are often whining about book reviews? What’s the big deal anyway? How much of a difference could your one book review really make? In this opinion piece, ten-time self-published author and blogger, Toi Thomas, discusses candidly why book reviewing culture isn’t what it should be.

This is not a book about how to write book reviews and it is not a how-to book for authors to gain book reviews. This is a book about reevaluating your thought-process and opinions about book reviewing culture.

Toi Thomas clearly understands that “Ain’t nobody got time for book reviews” when there are so many more important things for a book lover to do. Right? Plus, you can read this book from cover to cover in less than two hours. 100% of proceeds go to support Lit Carnivale, a book fair in the making.

I’m also celebrating over at A Small Gang of Authors today if you want to check it out.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. If you like it let me know and share it with others. See you next time, Toi Thomas. #thetoiboxofwords
