#iwsgbookclub Nov. 2021 Micro Discussions

Happy Thanksgiving to our U.S. readers and friends.

Here’s an interesting article by Chrys Fey if you are open to alternative ways to appreciate this time of year.

Please join the IWSG Book Club today on Goodreads for two short discussions about the two books we featured in the month of November. There’s still five days left in this month so there’s no rush. We are hosting 3 short questions for each book we featured and encourage you to share your reviews and or thoughts. Discussions will remain open indefinitely, so stop by anytime, even if you haven’t read the book(s).

Happy Thanksgiving from #OuAuthorGang & Toi Thomas

Today I’m hanging out over at A Small Gang of Authors sharing one of my best Thanksgiving moments, along with other blog members from the U.S. While this is not an international holiday, it is an international sentiment. I’m so thankful to have found this really great group of author/bloggers to work with.

In other news, I’m heading to a family Thanksgiving feast in charge of dessert, rolls, and drinks. I got it all and am ready to regret my choices tomorrow. It’s going to taste soooo good.

Before you head to A Small Gang of Authors, I just want to say that I’m thankful for my pet turtle Betty, my little red-head Margie (the scaredy dog), my ever-patient and kind husband Eric, and my entire family. I know that I am truly blessed.

Happy #Thanksgiving U.S.A! 2015

Wikipedia

I sincerely hope all nations have a celebration that’s comparable to our Thanksgiving Day celebration. If we get too caught up in the day-to-day struggle to keep moving forward, it’s nice to know that we can at least set aside one day to just be thankful for whatever little bit it is we have. Sure there’s historical, political, and for those who choose, even religious ties to this holiday, but it doesn’t have to be that complicated. There’s always something to be thankful for.

Today I’m thankful for:

…My health, that isn’t always the best, but at least I’m here and not currently suffering any pain.

…My family and friends. I’m not always the best at keeping in touch or being aware of what’s happening with others, but I do care and know that I couldn’t make it day-to-day without the ones who love me standing by my side: physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

…My country, with all its faults, it’s still the place that allows me to live and pursue happiness in spite of my race, gender, and religious preference.

…Jesus Christ.
