Here is approximately 100 – 150 words from a randomly selected original piece for your enjoyment. Eternal Curse: Battleground chapter 3.2 (wip)

Just as Mira sometimes needed a little more to be happy living at Sinclair Manor, I sometimes needed a little more to feel fulfilled in my purpose and calling. I never tried to hide anything from Mira, but I did always try to protect her feelings, even though she was stronger than even I sometimes gave her credit for. I told Mira of my intentions to reach out and help people. Mira wasn’t afraid that I’d get hurt or even that I would hurt someone else, but she had so many concerns. She unconditionally trusted in my ability to control my actions, but she feared for the unknown.

Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 4.3 (wip)

Mira removed her glasses; she pushed her hands up into her face, swept them up over her hair, and then took a deep breath. She folded her arms in front of her chest, looked back, and then forth between Giovanni and Abraham several times quickly. Abraham was a mystery to her and a little creepy in a sweet way, but seemed harmless. Giovanni, on the other hand, looked like he could stop a bar fight just walking through the door, yet he too seemed safe enough. He seemed to always be so subdued and to have a constant cloud of sadness around him, which Mira looked upon as a silent screaming out for help and understanding. Mira didn’t know why she was there with these strange men and their strange stories and mysteries, but she’d decided to stay.

A Day in My Life: Nov. ’13: Color Blank Party

dayNlife

You may or may not find this surprising, but as a writer I’ve never been much of a journaler (I like making up words). I’ve always kept writing, sketching, and poetry notebooks, but I’ve never really liked writing about myself. This monthly post is my attempt at rectifying that and is an opportunity for me to get a little personal, as I share a single event from my life.

November 2013 – Color Blank Party

My husband and I did something totally crazy a few weeks ago…We had people over! 😮

This may not seem like a big deal to you, but for a pair of loners, this is a big deal. Plus our place is small and we’re always leery of having people over and feeling cramped, but this event was a success. We served the best Apple Cider imaginable, a variety a sweet wines, fruit, and an array of cheeses and crackers. Then we sat around and randomly picked blank vinyl figures to decorate with Sharpies. It was a lot more fun than it probably sounds…We may actually have people over again…in a few months 😉 . Click here to see pictures of the event.
