Thanks for listing with me, Toi! I’m a tomboy too and I love all these movies. Which just goes to show that tomboys like romance as much as any girly-girl!
Thanks for hosting. It was fun putting it together. Now that I’ve missed the party, I guess I’ll go see what everyone else shared.
I haven’t see A Room with a View or American Quilt. They are on my TBW (to be watched) list. Moonstruck was great!
Thanks for stopping by. A Room with a View is an English film, just in case that matters. To some it does.
Great list, some my favorites too. Love the soundtrack of Beaches.
Juneta Writer’s Gambit
Yeah, my mom got me hooked on this movie and she likes Bette Middler’s singing.
Moonstruck is a funny movie.
Thanks for participating in the blog hop.
It is funny in a way don’t expect. That’s for hosting.
I love so many of those, especially Now and Then, How to Make an American Quilt, My Girl, and Pretty in Pink. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by. Glad to know others share my taste.
I’ve only seen a few of those. I do like the original Annie.
I actually have a few musicals on my favorites list, but I this is meant to appeal to girls more.
I’ve seen most of these, Watched My Girl for the umpteenth time with my granddaughter in July. I remember taking her mother to see that film in the theater when she was younger.

Aww, how sweet. Guess that movie has a generational appeal in your family.
I always enjoy re-watching Legally Blonde.

I don’t actually mind watching Legally Blonde, but have to be in a mood for it. Thanks for stopping by.
I watched Tammy & The Bachelor for a film class in college. And I do love Beaches. The soundtrack, too.
Someone gave me a set of Tammy movies when I was kid. That’s the only one I liked.
Great movies all, I think I’ve seen them all too! Wonderful!
Thanks for stopping by. Cool to know we like some of the same movies.
I’ve seen them all except, Now and Then. All great movies. I guess my favorite would be Moonstruck.
Yeah, it’s a modern classic.
This reminds me: it’s been quite awhile since I watched How to Make an American Quilt. I just recently re-watched Moonstruck.
I’m pretty sure I watch Moonstruck once a year.
Some great films here but I still have not seen “Beaches.” I remember when it came out and was not in the mood to see it…one day I will
If you have a friend that’s more like a sister, watch it with her. My mom showed it to me and my two best friends in high school and it’s stuck with us.
Annie is the only one of that list that I’ve seen (and loved). I’m a tomboy at heart too.
We tomboys can only take so much girly. 😉 Thanks for stopping by.
Wow—some of these are my absolute favorites! Pretty in Pink—love that movie! And Annie (the original)—to this day, I can recite whole chunks of dialogue. Carol Burnett was fabulous in it. And Albert Finney! I think part of the reason why I’ve shied away from seeing the new one is because I can’t, for the life of me, see Jamie Foxx in that role 😀
Great list!
Guilie @ Quiet Laughter
The way they rewrote the movie, Foxx plays the role well. It’s the same story but a completely different movie. I like them both, but the original is still my favorite.
Of these films, I’ve only seen Breakfast at Tiffany’s and My Girl. Love both of those. Though I have not seen it, I do have the Pretty in Pink soundtrack.
I too have the soundtrack, on vinyl of course. It’s pretty good (no pun intended). Thanks for stopping by.
I haven’t seen most of these. I do love the original Annie movie, the songs are so fun 🙂 And I thought My Girl was unbearably sad!
I’ve seen a lot more chick flicks than this, I just don’t like them all, not that I dislike them all either. These are just the ones I really like.
