Does time really exist or is it simply a manifestation of man’s desire to calculate and control the world in which we live?…uuhhhh whatever.
I’m grateful for my clocks, my watches, my schedules, and my calendars. Time is on my side as long as I don’t waste it. I’m blessed to have a concept of time. I know I won’t live forever and though I don’t know when my time will be up, I grateful to have a concept that lets me plan ahead just in case.

Lilly is a shadow. She’s there all along, but she easy to forget. Her impact, however, lasts and lasts.
Lilly meets Giovanni and Mira as a little girl, but they don’t learn her story until later in her life when trouble arises. Giovanni and Mira will eventually serve as secret guardians to Lilly, protecting her from the world of the others which she can’t seem to stay away from.
Lilly’s tale, like everyone else in this series is a bit tragic. She was adopted as a baby and raised by an average human family, but like all families, it had its issues. When her parents decide to get a divorce, it was only the first of many struggles she’d have to overcome.
All in all, Lilly actually lives a rather pleasant life. She gets an education, gets married, has a career, and goes on to become a grandmother.

Marisol flees Tijuana, Mexico, with her mother after her journalist father is killed, probably by the drug lords. Living in a migrant camp under an oak tree in a posh suburb is not what Marisol had in mind for life in America.
Solimar’s sister has the perky attitude and good looks. Solimar has the athletic genes. A tragedy after Homecoming brings the sisters into a more conflicted relationship. (due out Spring 2014)
Eileen Granfors lives in Santa Clarita, California. Though born in New Orleans, Eileen grew up in her mother’s hometown, Imperial Beach, California, the most southwesterly city in the U.S. Her mother’s love of Mexico and beaches influenced Eileen’s strong ties with her Hispanic neighbors. When Eileen was a child, she and her brother could walk to Mexico down the beach, after crossing the Tijuana River mouth. Today, an iron fence extends out into the breakers at the border. Eileen is a proud UCLA alumna. She began writing after retiring from teaching high school literature and composition for thirty-four years. She enrolled in UCLA’s Extension Writers’ Program on the first day of her retirement.
