Clue #1– It’s a fairly recent sci-fi release that’s quite dark (now on DVD).
Clue #2– It won an Oscar.
Clue #3– One of its stars appeared in another recent sci-fi release that did not win an Oscar.
Do you think you know what my movie is? Am I making this way too hard?
I can’t wait to see everyone else’s clues. I hope I guess some right. I’m so looking forward to the actual reviews that will be posted next week.

Ex Machina?
That’s it. You’re good.
I have not seen it, though, so I am delighted to see it added to the mix.
That would be my guess. The actor was also in the latest Star Wars.
I worried that clue would make it too easy, but oh well.
The film that first came to my mind was District 9 but I don’t watch much sci-fi anymore. Haven’t seen Ex Machina. It’s on my Netflix list, but I keep delaying getting it since my wife doesn’t care much for sci-fi. And actually much sci-fi these days kind of bores me.
Arlee Bird
Tossing It Out
Well, you may want to wait to watch it until seeing my review next week.
Ex Machina? Edge of Tomorrow? (Emily Blunt was also in the excellent Adjustment Bureau. Although Tom Cruise has been in a number of other sci-fi movies…) Should be interesting, whatever it turns out to be…
I liked Edge of Tomorrow, but haven’t see Adjustment Bureau. It’s on my list.
I will also say Ex Machina
You got.
I hardly get out to the movies these days. I did see Through the Looking Glass this past weekend and was a bit bored. My kids loved it though.
Yeah, not everything works for everyone.
I would have guessed it wrong but I did see Ex Machina. It’s weird because I wouldn’t call it sci-fi in the traditional sense even thought it is probably the best category for it. I highly enjoyed the film.
Yes, I’d say it’s more a psychological thriller in a sci-fi setting, but I didn’t want to give too much away.
