#iwsgbookclub Oct. 2021 Check-in

It’s time for a monthly check-in. We, at the IWSG Book Club, invite you to share your thoughts and or progress on our current member spotlight books via the social media platform(s) of your choice. I’ll be sharing my thoughts below and encourage you to share here if you’re not up for heading to social media.

I’ve actually read this book several times and with my crazy busy schedule, I haven’t gotten around to re-reading it yet. Still, I’m excited about the discussions that will start next week. See my review here.

We open up our discussions before the end of the month and they remain open indefinitely. I hope that will encourage members to participate in their own time.

I got a late start of this one, but I’m flying through it. So far, my impression of the book is “charming.” I like the small close-knit community the author has created and I’m liking many of the characters. I’m interested to see how the mystery gets solved and to see the main relationship develop.

Happy Birthday to me. Too bad I have no celebration plans. I’m working all day. Maybe I’ll be able to do something this weekend.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. If you like it let me know and share it with others. See you next time, Toi Thomas. #thetoiboxofwords #blacklivesmatter

Toi, I don’t know how far I will get with reading both books but I have purchased already home by Heather Gardner and put Dragon of the Stars on my purchase list. I will start with the contemporary story first.

There’s no pressure to read both books. We offer two so that readers can choose the one that suits them best. I’m glad you know you are at least considering them. Happy reading.
