There is supposed to be a big announcement today over at the IWSG site. Be sure to stop by and check it out.

Today is a very simple post for me. I’m actually trying to organize an outrageous virtual book tour on my own. All I need now is a little help from my friends. I’m seeking bloggers, non-bloggers, reviewers, interviewers, and am willing to do guest posts outside of this tour. Please consider supporting this effort or at least sharing it with someone who may be interested or willing to support.

Thank you.

Have you had a virtual book tour before? Did it help?
Would you ever plan a virtual book tour or would you rather pay?

After hanging out with Alex, be sure to stop by and visit this month’s co-hosts:
Julie Flanders,
Murees Dupé,
Dolorah at Book Lover,
Christine Rains, and
Heather Gardner!

I’ve hosted blog tours before– not sure of the benefits at all– it all depends on the sort of audience you’re gearing for. All the best with your tour 🙂

Please do and tell some friends. I appreciate any and all assistance with this endeavor. Thank you.

I’ve released books before without one, so I’m interested to see how this goes.

Check out my post for this month–about my experience with blog tours. Good luck with yours.

Best wishes,
Diane IWSG #95

Thank you Nadine. I’m trying to make the whole process easy and the experience fun for all involved.

I’ve toured on my own and with a tour company. Neither made a difference in sales but definitely helped in followers. I agree with what everyone has been saying about the audience. If you find the right one, you’ll do great.

I’m personally not convinced blog tours work, but if you can write about a creepy thing that happened to you, I’ll gladly host you on my blog. We’ll do a nice plug for your book at the end.

I enjoy hosting blog tours as well. That’s the main reason why I wanted to do one. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi,
I’ve never done a virtual blog tour, but my book is not yet finished so that’s understandable. I have no idea what one does. As a blogger, I do have a book review website but I don’t know if that would be helpful. What do you do on a blog tour?
All the best.
Shalom,
Patricia

You pretty much got it. Most blog/virtual book tours are a combination of reviews and interviews with a basic “hey check out this new title” message. I’m trying to add in a few fun activities to share with readers and hosting bloggers, but it all hinges on whether anyone will actually participate.

Toi, I am willing to feature you on my book review blogs on blogger and wordpress and also on my think it over blog on Typepad, but it would have to be in February 2016 if that will help.
I am booked out with concerts, workshops and writing until then.
Consider it and let me know.
Shalom,
Pat

Thank you very much for the offer, Pat. I will take you up on it and be in touch. I really appreciate it.

I’ve never done a book tour myself before but I always love to share the love for other people. Not sure how much it helps with putting the word out there but I guess it couldn’t hurt.

That’s what I’m hoping. Not that I’m well known or anything, but since this is a new genre for me, I’m really hoping to build up some buzz. Thanks for stopping by.
