Well now, I for one have been going through quite the slump. After taking a much-needed digital cleanse I haven’t been able to get back on track with anything really. I’ve been inconsistent in my writing, blogging, visiting other blogs, social media interactions, and more. Though I’m in a slump, I’m not giving up on my ultimate goals and dreams.
I still have a special project that I’m trying to figure out as well as getting back on track with my writing and blogging. At this point, I know it will all work out when it’s supposed to.
So to all the readers, bloggers, writers, authors, and more, don’t give up. Keep moving forward even if you have to slow down a bit for a while.

Are you on a roll or in a slump?
Any words of encouragement to share?

I get where you are coming from, advice? Each new day is a clean page to begin again? Persistance is key? One step at time? 21 days of total obsession doing something makes a habit? Feeling lie, write anyway? Mood changes, write anyway? Life happens, but it gives you experience to write with? Everybody has slumps, just get up and start climbing again one rock at a time?
Cliches enough ROFL?

Thank you. Cliches and questions like these are just what I need. 😉
I think it happens every time after the release of a book. Just throw yourself into another project and it will pull you out of the slump.
Another project sounds like a great idea. Thank you.
Slumps happen. It’s my new saying! Haha! Just don’t let it get the best of you. Write anything, a letter to a friend or loved one, a to-do list, write down your dreams… Just write something to get it all going again and you’ll be fine. http://www.lisabuiecollard.com
I think you are right, but I think I also need to read. When I read, I remember why I like writing so much. Thanks.
I believe we all go through the slumps. I like to call them stumps, because they are obstacles that I have to jump over. What I do know is that you have it in you. You are a natural born writer and you have come very far. Earth, Wind, and Fire recorded a song that I still love to hear. The title, Keep Your Head To The Sky. Sometimes we have to look up and just jump over the stump.
Wishing you the very best.
Shalom,
Patricia
Thank you dearly. Your kind words mean a lot.
I think you said it: Keep Moving Forward 😉
Thank you.
I also feel like I’m in a sort-of-slump. But that’s because we are experiencing hot and humid weather which drains every ounce of energy from the body… 🙂
Once the cooler weather kicks in, I’ll be able to function better.
You’re seeking cooler weather and I’m waiting for warmth. Good luck to us both.
Go back to the well, whatever nourishes your creative spirit and reminds you of what’s important. For me, it’s soul music. Some quality time with early ’70s Stevie Wonder usually sorts me out.
Thanks Squid. You’re right. Talking Book on repeat is probably just what I need.
In my case, it’s a bit of both. I’m on a roll because I’m getting writing and publishing stuff done, but not because I’m not getting it done fast enough.
Sometimes not getting it done when we want is the hardest part. I get it. Thanks for stopping by and sharing.
I am in a it of a slump with my blog because emotionally it is a horrible time of year for me but luckily I have some drafts saved I can publish. Thanks for the encouraging words.
