About Toi Full Moon

I’m leaving @Twitter! Oh, and romance excerpt.

If you are following me on Twitter, now is a great time to stop. They keep locking my account and accusing me of behaviors that violate their terms. I don’t see how I can violate their terms when I haven’t posted anything in the last 24 hours. This has been going on for days, though, and I’m tired of being bullied by them. Until they start offering customer service that uses a real human brain and not some glitchy computer, I’m not bothering with it.

I seriously doubt anyone will miss me there. I’m a nobody in the grand scheme and that’s why Twitter doesn’t care if they treat me like crap. I’m not even going to go through the bother of deleting the account. I’m leaving it up as a tribute to my dissatisfaction with the platform. This will be the last post I syndicate there.

If you want to follow me or see what I’m posting on social media, visit my contact page for suggested links. I’m going to start using Facebook, Tumblr, Goodreads, and YouTube more. I’m also going to start being more social and open.

Yesterday, I posted an excerpt from my romcom, It’s Like the Full Moon,  over at A Small Gang of Authors. Please check it out.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. If you like it let me know and share it with others. See you next time, Toi Thomas. #thetoiboxofwords

I think a lot of people were having the same Twitter issue. I got locked out several times and the last time I switched cell phone carriers and my phone # but never changed it in Twitter so had no way to get my account unlocked but to put in a request to be unlocked. A whole bunch of Twitter passwords were hacked in 2016 and I think they are working on an algorithm to catch spam accounts and it needs some tweaking. It is annoying but I expected to wait weeks and they got back to me within days. Thanks for the excerpt, off to give it a read.

Thanks for checking out my excerpt. As for Twitter, it’s lost its luster. I don’t have time in my life to be worried about every time I post or retweet something that this will be the one action that triggers their inept algorithm. I’m not messing with it anymore.

If you know of a way of contacting them, I’d consider it. All my attempts have come up empty. That’s part of the reason I’m going inactive. I see no point in putting forth any more effort when they aren’t there to be reached.

Happy Birthday a few days late. Leaving Twitter is like a present to yourself. Going to get one of your children’s books for my granddaughter. She likes when I read to her on my Kindle and she’s never too young to learn about kids with needs different than hers.
