Happy Labor Day U.S.A. 2015

Wikipedia

Today we honor the laborers, or maybe the labor associations, or maybe the contributions of laborers to the economic system…huh…well, at least I get to eat hot dogs and watch fireworks.

Seriously, I know why, as a nation, we started celebrating Labor Day, but in all honesty, it’s the mark of summer’s end now. I do make an effort to reflect on the true purpose of this holiday, but right now, I’m so preoccupied with the last of my summer vacation.

To everyone else in the world, I hope you’re having a wonderful day and are enjoying the end of your summer or winter, depending on where you are. 😉

Typical to where I live, Labor Day has become the last-day-of-summer bash in our neighborhood. And it really turned into that this past weekend. Not only did we get a hot weekend worth swimming for, but many of my neighbors whipped out the BBQ for a final salute to summer. It really was great!
