I find that my friends and family don’t have much in common with me when it comes to books. Even my followers seem to like to read but don’t want to talk about it. Sometimes I feel like an endangered animal. I just don’t know why more people don’t read, especially since everyone tells kids how important reading is.
I know not everyone is on FaceBook, but if you are, I’d love for you to take and or share a poll I posted. If you look at all the options, even the hidden ones, it’s kind of funny.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. If you like it let me know and share it with others. See you next time, Toi Thomas. #thetoiboxofwords

It would let me click on it. I am number one– 21-50-56 read all the time. I love to read it is necessary to my happiness and spirit.
Sorry it wouldn’t let you vote. I don’t know how FB descides who can and can’t interact with things. I though making it a public post would prevent that, but oh well.
oops would not let me, is what my comment should read.
I wish I read more for pleasure, but I am constantly reading. (And editing, researching, etc.)
Yeah, but that’s different. I figure if you contribute to the world of books the way you do, reading becomes a gray area. Like you say, you’d liked to read for pleasure more and that’s what counts.
People who don’t read are missing out on a whole ‘nother world.
I agree. I just find it odd that most of my parent’s friends read and every kid I encounter reads, but most adults my age don’t.
