Eternal Curse: Battleground 10.1 (wip)

“Do you mind if I ask how old you really are? I figured from the moment I saw you that you weren’t actually a child, but that you just happen to look like one.”

I sighed a bit and began to explain. “I wish it were that simple. The truth is I am about fifty years old. When Fred found me, I hadn’t been around that long. He used his memory capturing abilities to help me remember and know who I was and where I came from. It is because of my very unusual origins, and the nature of my curse, that I have to always be supervised.”

It’s Like the Full Moon- chapter 7.2 (wip)

“It’s actually a funny story,” she said as Rebecca helped her sit up. “When Rebecca was born, Lucy fell in love with her. She treated her like a doll and spoiled her rotten. Any chance she could get, she’d sneak up to Rebecca’s ear and repeat Aunty Lucy over and over,” said Ms. Rapture with a tearful smile on her face. “It drove George Tinsdale mad, which only made the whole thing funnier. It became a competition between the two of them to see which name Rebecca would call out first.

In spite of their best efforts, Rebecca’s first words were mama and booboo,” said Ms. Rapture looking over her at daughter. “Booboo was her favorite toy at the time, but the completion wasn’t over between George and Lucy.

Eternal Curse: Giovanni’s Angel chapter 8.1 (wip)

I began to catch my breath as I looked around. I reached for my lantern and lit it. I looked down and pulled up the blanket I’d thrown over him. There lay this boy, a youth almost a man my age, but still a child. I remember thinking that he was pale, not quite white, but definitely lacking in color under the night sky. His body was bloody and bruised. There was a rope hanging from around his visibly bruised neck.

I reached down and tried to cradle him in my arms. I turned his head to look into his eyes, to see if he was conscious, but my reflexes were overloaded as my whole body jumped when my skin touched his. It felt like lightening was running through my body and pulling at me somehow. Then he looked at me. His eyes were black like charcoal; I’d never seen anything like it. It startled me so, that I let go of him and stumbled back a few feet.
