Dear World | Daily dose of gratitude

 

It’s that time of year again to say thanks and be grateful. It’s always a pleasure to receive an invite to share my thoughts and feelings over at a Daily Dose of Gratitude and this year has been no different. Top 5: 15 – Marvel Heroes

sample This is a list of my top five something. Most of the time my lists are pretty static, but sometimes I do change my mind. While I do try to apply some logic to my choices, sometimes I pick things that make no sense and for no good reason other than “I like it.”

Marvel Heroes

1. Hulk

2. Vision

3. Storm

4. Night Crawler

5. Rogue & Black Panther (a tie)

Like I said last month, this is actually one of the few lists that I can almost guarantee will not be changing. Unless Marvel creates a new character for me to fall in love with or turns one of these characters into a villain, permanently, I don’t see why this should change.

A Day In My Life: October ‘14: Tidewater Comicon

You may or may not find this surprising, but as a writer I’ve never been much of a journaler (I like making up words). I’ve always kept writing, sketching, and poetry notebooks, but I’ve never really liked writing about myself. This monthly post is my attempt at rectifying that and is an opportunity for me to get a little personal, as I share a single event from my life.

Tidwater Comicon

Well it isn’t exactly the big event they have in San Diego, but it works for me. Every time I’ve ever had an opportunity to go a con, something has always gotten in the way, but not this time. I celebrated my birthday early this year by having a fancy breakfast, going to a Comicon, and then catching an Admirals hockey game. Of course they lost; they never win when it’s my birthday…maybe it’s me.

Anyway, here are some pictures from my Tidewater Comicon adventure a few weeks ago.
